Just Jean Paul Gaultier . . .

Run don't walk to the coolest museum exhibit I have ever seen.   Jean Paul Gaultier's - From The Sidewalk To The Catwalk exhibition at the De Young museum in San Francisco which will be on display from March 24, 2012 - August 19, 2012.

The exhibition allows you to get up close and personal to Gaultier's one of a kind pret-a-porter collections.

What makes this even more special are the 30 animated mannequins who flirt, talk, and sing to the museum patrons.

Above is a video clip of the Jean Paul Gaultier animated mannequin and one of a lady singing Madonna's Material Girl. (Apologies for when I uploaded the video to YouTube the top portion was cut off.)

Just An Instant Replay . . .

Madonna did an excellent job with her half time performance at Super Bowl XLVI!

The only thing that would have made it better is if she would have sung live.

But let's give credit where credit is due.  How many other 53 year old women do you know who are in that good of shape and could put on that high of an intensity dance show for 12 minutes?

On this second viewing you can even catch a couple mistakes.  (At 3:58 she almost falls off the stage!)

Highlights for me were Nicki Minaj who continues to amaze me and Cee Lo Green who just may have upstaged Madge on Open Your Heart/Express Yourself and Like A Prayer.

I'm A B*&%# . . .

This week the above video of Madonna dissing a fan's gift of hydrangeas went viral.  While seeing Madonna's bitchy side is always funny, this is not my favorite example.

Please see the below clip of an interview where Madge lost her shizz over a hot room.

"Just GIVE me a fan!"

Seriously?

Do you know how many "fans" would have been willing to stand there and fan her?

Let It Will Be . . .

Hail Madonna,
full of controversy.
The crowd is with thee.
Greatest art thou among performers,
and greatest is thy song of thee 80s - Holiday.
Holy Voguer,
Mother of Lourdes.
Sing for us fans,
now and at the hour the clubs call last dance.

Amen

I'm Gonna Wake Up . . .

I could not go to bed tonight without sharing these amazing photos I took during night two of Madonna's Sticky & Sweet Tour at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, CA.

"Ladies with them attitude, fellas that were in the mood..."

(Check out a little video I took at the above link.)

Look, I can shoot stars out of my fingers if Madonna is singing in the background.

On And On On The Beat Goes . . .

After months of waiting it finally arrived!   Night one of Madonna's Sticky & Sweet Tour at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, CA.

Madge did not disappoint.  At fifty years old she looks better than a lot of people in their twenties.  Her show is very aerobic to say the least.  For one number she jumped rope through the whole song.  And this wasn't normal jump rope, she did Double Dutch!

I broke out my vintage Re-Invention Tour "Madonna Is My Homegirl" T-shirt to show my support!  But this year Madge was looking for a different kind of support.  She was selling Barack Obama T-Shirts that said "Express Yourself."  She is never one to shy away from politics and religion.

In comparison to The Confessions Tour, this one seemed a little less controversial.  There was no crown of thorns or hanging on the cross.

One of the highlights was when she did an acoustic version of "You Must Love Me" from the Evita soundtrack.

I also always love the interludes when she is not even on stage.  Two highlights from this year were the Remix of "Give It 2 Me" which was really a 3 minute advertisement for changing the world and voting for Obama and a Medley of "Rain" and The Eurythmics "Here Comes The Rain Again".  Stunning!

Madge closed the show with "Give It 2 Me" which included a pretty cool laser light show homage to the video games of the 80's.

I am looking forward to tonight when I go back for night two...only this time on the floor!
