What a coincidence.
On the same day as the annual Great California Shake Out earthquake drill the Bay Area was struck by two decent sized tremors.
The first quake occurred at 2:41 p.m. and registered 4.0 on the Richter Scale. The second quake was at 8:16 p.m. and was 3.8. Both quakes were on the Hayward Fault near Berkeley.
These three separate incidents were a great reminder that everyone who lives in California should be prepared with a 72 hour survival kit.
