Say Freedom . . .

Lone Angel Above Coit Tower

Here are some pictures of the Blue Angels from Saturday's 2011 Fleet Week Air Show.

This year I had a new perspective of the show since I was down in the crowd rather than on a roof top. I am not going to lie, I was a little sad that I was not on a roof top to see the USAF B-2 Bomber fly over the Bay.  That is one plane I had not seen in years past.

The above photo is my favorite shot of the day.

As an added bonus that I never experienced on my apartment roof - a performance by the Marine Corps' The Old Breed Brass Band at Pier 39.  During the song you can hear the Navy F-18 Super Hornet tearing across the sky.

  1. Did the Stealth fly on Sunday? If they're packing, by the time you see'em it's too late. Dick Wade, told us last night, that he once had a private Blue Angels show out at their base in El Centro.
